Film Festival Engages York Region Students

The opening of the York Region Film Festival was a dynamic affair that had students from 3 schools talking with each other via ABEL streaming technology about what the films meant to them.

The Sutton site was hosted by Hillary Van Welter from Waste Films. She did a great job of engaging the students, introducing the films and including the other schools in the conversation.Sutton District High School was the host site for the streaming of  the films.

The Advanced Broadband Enhanced Learning (ABEL) Department from York University was in charge of the streaming and did a great job of connecting Unionville D.H.S. and Keswick D.H.S. in live conversations about the films.
