Apni Sanskrti (Our Culture)

April Sanskrti (Our Culture) is a photo voice that demonstrates how first generation and immigrant South Asian youth face dichotomic cultural challenges within York Region’s mosaic, which influence our upbringing. The South Asian youth continue to weave a rich tapestry of diversity whilst preserving their cultural customs, ethnicity and heritage languages as well as embracing the York Regional way of life. This photo voice portrays the cultural practices in the lives of South Asian youth.
