ANNUAL REGION-WIDE MULTIMEDIA FILM FESTIVAL
 

The Multimedia Film Festival of York Region is produced by a unique partnership between Multimedia Film Development Council of York Region and Family Services York Region  places York Region squarely on the forefront of the new wave of social enterprise in action.  

The festival showcases films and digital photo submissions by current and former York Region residents, or on the topic of York Region in the professional, independent and student filmmaker categories.

As York Region continues to experience a welcomed infusion of diverse voices, MMFFYR gives voice to the distinct and collective experiences of the region’s communities during this period of extraordinary growth and adaptation.

The Mission of the Festival:

To educate and advance the public’s understanding and appreciation of the media arts in York Region through the annual production of the Multimedia Film Festival of York Region. The Festival's year-round Media Arts Education Program is committed to increasing accessibility to equipment and knowledge toward engaging all communities of York Region including diverse, marginalized, isolated and “at risk” groups.
